For my first outing and initial shoot with the bed I aimed for a performative visual display. During my time at University we have been set a number of photographic briefs and one of my favourites was called 'Theatre of Light'. For this brief I created a body of work focused around our human need for, and dependence on, trees. The project, shot solely after dusk, involved a number of creative lighting techniques and I thoroughly enjoyed the unexpected nature of the work.
I wanted to use the skill-set and knowledge, that I had acquired and built upon during the 'Theatre of Light' project, in the production of my FMP and so it was these images, as seen above, which inspired my initial shoot with the bed.
