Creating Working Groups + Group Leaders
As we moved through the last semester and closer to Degree Show we decided to split ourselves into smaller working groups in order to achieve a number of tasks simultaneously. I organised a document where people could add their name under a group heading in order for them to find a group which they felt they could contribute to the greatest. Having done this, five individuals stepped up to the role of group leader for their respective groups and I was one of these.
The group leaders have had weekly meetings to discuss the workings of the show and these are then fed back to the individuals in their groups in order to save having full class meetings every week. Being in a leadership role such as this has given me a richer engagement and involvement with all aspects of the final show and this has been a delight rather than a chore (although it's been stressful at times).
